{"id":3387,"date":"2023-12-22T11:23:33","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T11:23:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/jornada-espacio-europeo-de-datos-sanitarios-iniciativas-en-navarra\/"},"modified":"2023-12-22T20:48:38","modified_gmt":"2023-12-22T20:48:38","slug":"jornada-espacio-europeo-de-datos-sanitarios-iniciativas-en-navarra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/en\/jornada-espacio-europeo-de-datos-sanitarios-iniciativas-en-navarra\/","title":{"rendered":"Conference: European Health Data Space: Initiatives in Navarre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>11\/12\/2023<\/p>\n\n<p>The Institute of Smart Cities (ISC) of the UPNA, together with EDONA and <a href=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Navarra Health Cluster<\/a> organised this conference which was held on 11 December 2023 from 09:30 to 14:00 in the conference room of the Jer\u00f3nimo de Ayanz building, UPNA.<\/p>\n\n<p>Following the scheduled programme, the conference began with an introduction to <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/health.ec.europa.eu\/ehealth-digital-health-and-care\/european-health-data-space_en\">European Health Data Space<\/a> (EHDS),<\/strong> given by Laura Corcuera, Manager of the Navarra Health Cluster (NHC), who also explained the objectives of this cluster. Subsequently, Javier Turumbay, Deputy Director of Health Systems and Technologies of the SNS-Osasunbidea, <strong>explained the current situation and the digital health strategy of Navarra,<\/strong>as well as the plans for digital transformation and sustainability of the SNS-Osasunbidea within the EEDS, including some keys to success in this process such as the presence of strategies, prioritisation and change management in the system. His colleague, Javier Gorricho, then completed the first part of the day with an introduction to the secondary use of data within the SSDS, explaining the NHS-Osasunbidea initiative called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WBMIelzH9oA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BARDENA<\/a> (Base de An\u00e1lisis Resultados DE Navarra)<\/strong> which since 2014 has been developing a system that integrates and unifies health data in Navarra, providing high quality, performance and speed in the use of data.<\/p>\n\n<p>After a short break, the second part of the day continued with an explanation of some of the past, present and future experiences developed in both the public and private regional environment.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1260\" height=\"813\" data-id=\"3342\" src=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-2.png 1260w, https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-2-600x387.png 600w, https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-2-768x496.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1260px) 100vw, 1260px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n<p>From the public sector, the <strong>NaIA suite of the SNS-Osasunbidea<\/strong> was described by Imanol Pinto, which deals with medical image screening in Diabetic Retinopathy and medical decision support for the treatment of Age-Related Macular Degeneration through the use of Artificial Intelligence. Likewise, experiences in the exploitation of health management data developed at the Public University of Navarra by the QUPHS Group led by Professor Ferm\u00edn Mallor have been described with the aim <strong>mproving the flow of patients in the Emergency Department<\/strong> (APAMET Programme) and improvements in the management of ICU beds through the use <strong>of Digital Twins<\/strong>, as an example of how the secondary use of data significantly improves management efficiency. Igor Ruiz de los Mozos also explained the role of <strong>NASERTIC<\/strong> at regional, national and international level in genetic sequencing, as well as several personalised medicine projects developed <strong>(<a href=\"http:\/\/chrome-extension:\/\/efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj\/https:\/\/www.isciii.es\/QueHacemos\/Financiacion\/IMPaCT\/PublishingImages\/Paginas\/Plan\/PLAN_ESTRATEGICO_IMPaCT.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IMPaCT-<\/a>Genomica and IMPaCT-Data)<\/strong> and an outline of the <strong>potential of genomics in clinical practice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1251\" height=\"784\" src=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-3.png 1251w, https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-3-600x376.png 600w, https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-3-768x481.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1251px) 100vw, 1251px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>From the private sector, two companies from the ICT sector that are developing applications for the exploitation of health data participated in the event. In case of, <strong>NNBi<\/strong>Oskitz Ruiz explained several of the projects they have already developed (TRE Project and MINERVA II) as well as their vision of <strong>he bottlenecks to be solved in this digital transition and the development of AI for clinical support.<\/strong> Finally, Borja Balparda from Data Value Management, presented the development and results of the MARGA project on the impact of genomic mutations on the onset of cancer in heavy smokers.
