The Living Lab concept is based on this principle, and it is all the potential offered by this new approach to innovation that Navarra Health Cluster has decided to explore in order to improve the competitiveness of the agents it represents.<\/p>\n\n<p>On July 5, NHC brought together the members of the two working committees dedicated to infrastructure and innovation to learn more about the initiatives currently underway in Navarre in the field of biosanitary research, as well as their state of maturity.<\/p>\n\n<p>Gisela Garc\u00eda \u00c1lvarez, from Lexglobalminds, an expert in the creation and development of Living Labs on a European scale, participated in the event. As defined by ENoLL, <a href=\"https:\/\/enoll.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the European Network of Living Labs<\/a>, they are open innovation ecosystems in real-world environments that use iterative feedback processes throughout an innovation&#8217;s life cycle approach to create sustainable impact. They focus on co-creation, rapid prototyping and testing, and scalability of innovations and businesses, providing joint value to the stakeholders involved. They are not simple testing spaces, but collaborative environments where users, research organizations, companies and government agencies co-create solutions. The value of Living Labs lies in their ability to integrate multiple stakeholders and end users into the innovation process, ensuring that the products and services developed are closely aligned with real needs and expectations.<\/p>\n\n<p>In Navarre, Living Labs are particularly important because of their potential to test technologies and knowledge in a real environment, allowing the region to be a pioneer in benefiting from innovations.<\/p>\n\n<p>For the health sector, it is worth mentioning the work of two partners of Navarra Health Cluster: <a href=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/en\/partners\/navarrabiomed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Navarrabiomed<\/a>, a public research center, and <a href=\"https:\/\/navarrahealthcluster.com\/en\/partners\/adacen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ADACEN<\/a>, the Brain Injury Association of Navarra.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><em>Citizen science Living Lab pilot project for Navarrabiomed<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>At Navarrabiomed, Living Labs are one of the main lines of action of the center&#8217;s innovation unit. It is considered that these spaces should be available to all health professionals and research\/innovation personnel in the region, prioritizing those topics related to the Health Plans of Navarre. The main objectives are:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To generate and efficiently transfer the results of research and clinical practice to the National Health Service (NHS).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Promote the culture of innovation.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote public-private collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The priority lines of activity of Navarrabiomed&#8217;s Living Labs include the areas of citizen science, with the transformation of health R&amp;D&amp;I, and technological innovation, with the accompaniment and support in the validation phases of medical devices.<\/p>\n\n<p>An initial pilot project focused on citizen science on breastfeeding pain has been launched. Society will benefit from the science and methodology developed in the framework of this project to solve an invisible health problem and influence policy decisions based on scientific evidence.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><em>NEUROLAB, ADACEN&#8217;s Living Lab focused on neurological rehabilitation and the promotion of autonomy.<\/em><\/strong><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>For its part, ADACEN has a Living Lab accredited by ENoLL in 2019 called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adacen.org\/index.php?m=que-hacemos&amp;subm=investigacion&amp;submm=living-lab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NEUROLAB<\/a>. It was created with the objective of placing people with neurological damage at the center of the processes of ideation, development and innovation of new tools and services to achieve better care for users.<\/p>\n\n<p>It has personnel specialized in neurological rehabilitation, who have been trained in the implementation of a participatory methodology endorsed by ENoLL.<\/p>\n\n<p>In this unit, they pilot, test and evaluate technologies and services together with users from concept definition through prototyping to the market introduction phase.<\/p>\n\n<p>Thus was born the project &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/adacen.org\/index.php?m=que-hacemos&amp;subm=investigacion&amp;submm=autonomia-al-cuadrado\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Autonomy Squared<\/a>&#8220;, driven from the co-creation promoted by NEUROLAB, which consists of the adaptation of an exoskeleton designed for industrial use in the field of health to support rehabilitation to improve the mobility and quality of life of people with hemiparesis (immobility of the arm-hand), which is one of the most prevalent sequelae of Acquired Brain Injury.<\/p>\n\n<p>The open innovation ecosystem that Living Labs represent is of great interest to Navarra Health Cluster and its associates, and a commitment has been made to deepen their knowledge in order to promote this work methodology in Navarra&#8217;s health sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Taking research out of the lab and into everyday life.
