The presence of Navarra Health Cluster at the FITECU 2025 fair has been an enriching experience full of learning. Our main objective has been to attend in order to learn about the latest technological advances in the socio-health field. During the fair, we had the opportunity to explore innovations that can improve healthcare, such as home monitoring and transcription support systems in consultations. These technologies not only promise to make healthcare more efficient, but also to humanise it, relieving the strain on the system and enabling better control and self-management of chronic diseases.
In addition to learning about new technologies, we have accompanied our partners Darwin Biomed and Centro VidAAs, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences. The fair has been a meeting point to discuss how technology can personalise and humanise healthcare, and how it can help care for both patients and healthcare professionals.
We have participated in discussions on the importance of clearly defining the use of the data collected by these technologies, to ensure the trust of users. Ane San Martín commented: ‘Young people find technology that collects data intrusive, what are they going to do with my data, are they going to control me? Older people were not so concerned about what they would do with their data. You have to define very well what the data is for and the data generator’s perception of how it is going to be used. Nuria Ordóñez of Telefónica eHealth & Social added: ‘Technology can help make healthcare more efficient, for example, with home monitoring and transcription support systems in consultations.
Furthermore, FITECU 2025 has also been a meeting point with other members of the Spanish health and biosciences cluster alliance, called ACESABIO. This gathering has strengthened collaboration and the exchange of ideas among the different clusters, thus promoting joint progress in the field of health and biosciences.
In summary, this is what we have learned at FITECU 2025: technology has the potential to transform healthcare, making it more efficient and human. It is crucial to be bold and creative in its implementation, always putting people at the center. The fair has given us a clear vision of how we can integrate these innovations into our daily work to improve the quality of life of our users and support our partners in their efforts to advance in the socio-health field.
