Description

The Medical Association of Navarre was created in 1898 following the approval of the Royal Decree on the Statutes for the Regime of Medical Associations on 12th April, which established membership as a compulsory requirement for professional practice. With a history of more than 100 years, the Medical Association of Navarre currently has more than 4,500 members. Its headquarters are in Pamplona, specifically at Avenida Baja Navarra, number 47. The Medical Association of Navarra also has its headquarters and a Regional Board in Tudela.

The main functions entrusted to it by the legislator are twofold: to represent all doctors in Navarre before any authority and to ensure the independence of the medical act and its ethical and technical quality, whoever pays for it. In short, the College is entrusted with the role of independent guarantor of fundamental individual rights such as the right to health and the right to life, which are clearly involved in the medical act.
