The UPNA Research Institutes have important activities related to the health sector:

– ISC: intelligence in all types of environments, development of biomedical technologies, sensors, medical imaging, digital twin, artificial intelligence, etc..

– INAMAT2: biocompatible materials, implants for drug delivery and drug synthesis, additive manufacturing of biodegradable components, orthosis manufacturing systems, etc..

– ISFOOD: food safety, health risks associated with food, nutrigenomics, studies of healthy habits and behaviors, development of fortified foods, obesity health exercise and food, healthy ingredients, etc..

– INARBE: studies of user behavior, economic impact of diseases, cost modeling and results of public health policies

– I-COMMUNITAS: ethics of health interventions, sociology of health, social impact of health measures, inequalities, mental health: depression, stress, suicide, etc..

– IMAB: proteomics, genomics, red biotechnology, identifying biomarkers, etc..

Additionally, UPNA has a wide range of university grade offer in the field of health that includes degrees in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Psychology and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences as well as a Double Degree in Physiotherapy and Physical Activity Sciences and sport.

This offer is complemented by 4 master’s degrees: Biomedical Engineering, Research in Health Sciences and the master’s degree in Public Health and General Health Psychology, as well as two doctoral programs, the Doctorate in Health Sciences and the Doctorate in Global Health: Determinants and Interaction of Human, Animal and Environmental Health.
