Navarra Health Cluster (NHC) took part in BioSpain 2025 as a sponsor, alongside the Government of Navarre, CEIN, SODENA and the IRIS Digital Innovation Hub, reaffirming its commitment to promoting talent, innovation and the competitiveness of Navarre’s biotechnology sector.
BioSpain—one of the leading international biotechnology events—brought together more than 2,400 participants from 1,065 organisations across 34 countries, including 140 investors from 76 national and international investment firms. Now set to be held annually, the event brings together representatives from companies, technology centres, universities and investors to explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

At NHC, we are proud to represent Navarre’s innovative health ecosystem and to support our member organisations in showcasing their products, projects and solutions. The following companies took part: Bionanoplus, Genbioma, InnoUp, Laboratorios Ojer Pharma, Medibiofarma, Nanogrow Biotech, Opportunity Health, Palobiofarma, Telum Therapeutics and Trimerbody Pharma.

Highlights of our participation

  • Bioeconomy and synthetic biology: we attended the session “Harnessing Nature: How Synthetic Biology is Shaping the Bioeconomy”, which highlighted Navarre’s strategic commitment through BioSintNA, positioning synthetic biology as a key driver of the bioeconomy.
  • Pitching with real impact: startups within Navarra Health Cluster presented their projects during the pitching sessions, showcasing solutions with strong impact and market potential.
  • Recognising talent: Navarre-based start-up Opportunity Health received first prize in the Start-up Pitch Contest for its innovative YARNASA device, designed to prevent deaths caused by choking.
  • Strategic connections: we held bilateral meetings with companies and with other health clusters across Spain, including members of the ACESABIO alliance, of which we are part.

BioSpain confirms its role as a major platform for discovering innovation and showcasing the talent, collaboration and transformative potential of Navarre’s biotech sector.

The event itself also announced that the 2026 edition will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Bilbao.
