On September 16, Alicia López de Ocariz and Laura Corcuera, respectively president and manager of Navarra Health Cluster (NHC), participated in a visit of Nafarco s facilities, member of NHC, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the pharmaceutical cooperative.
Nafarco was founded in 1959 to bring together the purchases of Navarre’s pharmacies and offer the public a quality service. It now has 400 member pharmacies and distributes to 500 of the 590 existing pharmacies in Navarre, which reinforces the co-operative’s position as an important link in the health value chain in Navarre.
During the visit, Juan Luis Sagaseta, President of Nafarco and member of NHC, and Íñigo Aguirrezábal, Managing Director of Nafarco, showed how orders are prepared for pharmacies from the warehouse walkway. This process was recently optimised through a cycle of investments undertaken between 2018 and 2024, which has enabled a level of automation close to 95% to be achieved, as well as facilitating the work of the cooperative’s human team.
The event was also attended by the President of the Government of Navarre, María Chivite, as well as the Regional Minister of Health, Fernando Domínguez, and the Regional Minister of Industry, Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo, together with guests from the pharmaceutical and business sectors of Navarre.
Congratulations to the 80 workers of Nafarco for their work in Navarre to improve the competitiveness of pharmacies, and to take care of the health of Navarre’s citizens.
